A Room That Is As Much Town As It Is Country

Isn’t the best part of fall that first smell of a lit fireplace, cozy sweaters and steamy rich hot chocolate with marshmallows? As the temperature outside shifts we yearn for a room that exudes warmth and urges us to snuggle under a blanket with a great novel especially after a busy and sweltering summer. It’s only natural. We long for time that is simpler, intriguing and decadent so our woods need to be rich, leathers luxurious and blankets plentiful. Clean lines and a neutral palate lend a cozy sophisticated vibe to any space. Be sure to add texture and visual interest when incorporating unusual accents like a driftwood sculpture or petrified wood tables and remember a warm fragrance goes a long way when keeping your spirits soothed. So embrace the chill and cozy up with our favorite fall inspired curiosities.

We’ve made it to the fourth and final post in our blog series on the differences between a $1000 sofa and a $4000 sofa. You’ve learned how features of the frame, suspension and seat and back cushions can make a huge difference in the quality and price of the sofa you are buying. Today we’ll finish our series with the finishing layer of a sofa; the fabric. You see, when a typical living room sofa is being upholstered, the manufacturer will use as little as 15 or as much as 30 yards of fabric depending on the overall size of the sofa. How much the fabric on a sofa costs comes down to the quantity required and the qualities of the fabric you choose.
