Living Small

Whether you are downsizing or purchasing your first condo, here are some tips for making a small space more functional.

Tip #1 Find Furniture that can serve dual functions. Try an American Leather sofa bed in the living room if you lack a guest room or Lillian August nesting tables that can be pushed together to make a cocktail table.

You can also consider a Sherrill Furniture upholstered ottoman or Bernhardt bench. They can be used as a cocktail table when a tray is added.

Tip #3 Mirrors, Mirrors, Mirrors! When trying to create an open airy feel in a tight space, consider mirrored buffets, entertainment units, chests and or a wall sized leaner mirror. A mirror will create the illusion that a space is bigger than it actually is. Bernhardt’s Marquesa Collection features many beautiful mirrored surfaces.
